My Beautiful Bride
This is my favorite shot of Susan from our wedding day. Technically and artistically it could be much better, but who cares?! It is what it is – an amazing captured moment, a quick snapshot (with a small point-and-shoot 35mm camera) of a joyful bride by a childhood friend whom she has known since Kindergarten, a snapshot which captured her spirit and radiance that day better than any of the posed shots our wedding photographer took just before this. My shy, beautiful new wife brought not a hint of self-consciousness into her expression for this one.
