Female Western Tanager I
My apologies for my absence the last month or so. My health hasn't been the greatest, but I think I'm finally starting to feel better and we actually made it out yesterday!
I've been seeing a lot of Clark's Nutcrackers at work the last couple of weeks, so we decided to explore the area in hopes of catching one. We had no luck, but we did encounter a bunch of Western Tanagers (something I've never noticed there! and they're pretty hard to miss...). It was nice to see them, I've only ever found the males with the bright red heads, but the females were absolutely gorgeous as well!
