Raccoon Kit
We encountered a box while exploring the Reifel Bird Sanctuary, and we assumed it was for some larger bird of prey. Wondering what inhabited it we stood quietly for quite some time when first a little nose poked out, finally followed by the smallest raccoon head I've ever seen. I've never seen a Raccoon kit before this, although I do have to admit they're quite cute!
