Little Owl (Athene noctua)
I had no intention of photographing the Little Owls this morning so I was out at first light to take the dogs for a walk.
As I was walked back across the field, the sun was filtering through the oak trees and the thought of capturing an owl with the beautiful back lighting was too good to miss.
I was still fixing the camera to the gimbal when this one flew in. All 4 fledglings have made it but are becoming more independent every day. I won't get all 4 lined up on the perch again that's for sure as they will soon begin to disperse to find a territory of their own.
