Happy Groundhog Day
May the Predictor of Spring come forth to a dark, cloudy sky,
forecasting Spring is near.
This is a hoary marmot, a mountain cousin of the same family as the groundhog.
Even as a kid I never understood how a groundhog in Punxsatawney Pennsylvania could forecast spring far away in the northwest...? But at least he had a cool name.
Regardless of where you live, may Spring be just around the corner.
