Crooked River

A compressed slice of Oregon's Crooked River as it flows past a section of Smith Rock.

Having explored much of the route of this river it is impressive how much of a mark it has left on central Oregon.

The river is dammed upstream at the Prineville Dam so flow is now controlled for most of its length. Not doing as much carving anymore. It joins the Deschutes river. Total length is 125 miles (201 km).

Thanks for taking a look!
