Hiking Burroughs Mountain
Fellow mountain lovers hiking toward Burroughs Mountain with Mt. Rainier looming large straight ahead. I wanted to give the mountain a hug, and this gets you pretty close.
There are 3 summits to Burroughs. That is the first summit ahead. I made it as far as the 2nd summit where I hung out taking in the amazing view. Wish I'd pushed on to the 3rd summit now......Gets you even closer.
"Burroughs Mountain has been described as a mountain against a mountain. At over 7800 feet, Burroughs Mountain sets right up against the northeastern face of Mount Rainier, hugging the Winthrop Glacier. It offers one of the most dramatic views of Washington's largest volcano."
