Sawtooths + Salmon River
Looking SW down the Salmon River towards Lower Stanley Idaho with a small section of the Sawtooth mountains in the distance.
Lower Stanley is a quiet place to enjoy the beauty of pristine wilderness. It is one mile northeast of Stanley on Highway 75 along the scenic Salmon River.
The Salmon River (aka "River of No Return") is the longest free-flowing river in the US. There have been efforts to dam it, thankfully citizens saw that it didn't happen.
