Mt. Drum
Mount Drum (12,010 ft; 3,660 m) is a stratovolcano, located in the far west side of the Wrangell Mountains, on the western edge of Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park. It dominates the surrounding landscape, rising 6,710 ft (2,050 m) above the tundra.
When I first drove south by here I couldn't see the lake, much less the peak, due to heavy rains. Didn't know what I was missing. Sure glad I was able to see this impressive sight when I returned north.
Seen from Willow Lake.
