the Egret Tree
For those of you that frequent John Heinz NWR, you know exactly the tree in this image. For those that don't, "the Egret Tree" is where numerous egrets and herons roost for the evening. I took this shot about 15 minutes before sunset and the light was a magnificent golden color that bathed everything it struck in warm golden tones. I only wish there were more egrets and herons in the tree ( I count 6 - 5 Great Egrets and 1 Great Blue Herons) at the time I snapped the image. Not sure if the leaves changed color on the Egret Tree or if they are brown (dead tree) and the light gave them a golden glow.
