Partial solar eclipse 10 June 2021
This was my first ever eclipse of the sun and where I was in the Netherlands it was only a partial one. Still, to me, it was a mesmerising experience, a feeling that was made stronger by the fact that I only found out about it shortly before the event.
This was shot using the really excellent 350mm Tele-Tessar f/4 with three teleconverters stacked. It's not really recommended to do because it creates a really long and unwieldy rig that needs two tripods. But It's fun to try from time to time. Incidentally that Tele-Tessar is for sale in case anyone is interested.
I used Baader Astro Solar safety film attached to a home-made filter. The frame was scanned on my X1 and this is a slight crop.
Hasselblad 203FE
Carl Zeiss Tele-Tessar 4/350 T* FE
Hasselblad 2XE Converter
Hasselblad Carl Zeiss Mutar 2x
Hasselblad PC Mutar 1.4x
