Kernel of Wisdom
"What if our natural process is to simply 'come out' more and more as ourselves- as who we have always been?"
- David Bedrick, the author that talked back to Dr. Phil
The POP, process-oriented psychological approach to therapy, that rebels against current social norms of imposing change to better ourselves, while the buddhist point of view has been that we are enough, have been all along and that there is no point in striving, not even for the improvement of ourselves, my simplistic understanding. Stated in another way, David represents the strain of therapy that does not seek to change the individual, but to empower it. He does not seek to fault the individual, but exposes faults in the society that imposes itself and hinders the individual expression. Any thoughts?
