The "unread books shelf" has gotten a make-over since february. Some new books added to the shelf (and finished again in the meantime), some books finished, and some books remained.

And of course, the current edition of frankie magazine, the most awesome magazine I've ever started reading (in New Zealand) sent to me by Vera :D

 

Also...

 

You see the jar to the immediate left of "Yaya Sisterhood"? That's the jar where I toss in some change every now and again, money which I use to buy a new book when I feel like it. There's about 11 euros in there now. The jar has sentimental value to me; a man I used to know and work for every saturday tossed change in there (for me) so I'd have a little extra money every once in a while. When he passed away quite suddenly in february '06, I kept this jar. And I kept its purpose.

 

And you also see the little yellow notes in front of "The Bone People" (Kerewin)? Those are vouchers Wil made for me. Back in February, he had the tendency to 'scrutinize' my book-buying addiction. While Mr. Zoetekouw himself buys a motherload of tractors for his ever growing miniature collection.

I thought, Wut, that shit ain't right ;) So we struck a deal: for every tractor above 15 euros he buys for his collection, I get a voucher saying I'm allowed to buy a book. I have three vouchers at this moment. Any recommendations? :P
