God's finger
In Europe's medieval philosophy and theology (note that they were not separated - just like the big cathedrals were not just places of worship but also the location of vast libraries) it was a common thought that two books were written "by the finger of God"; the Bible and Nature. My point here is not to return to a pre-modern world view, but to highlight that here we have a sophisticated understanding that studying and "reading" nature are an alternative way of getting closer to God [or, to use a more scholarly language, a way to educate our ignorance]. Fuji X-Pro3 plus Samyang tele lens wide-open.
