Old man getting sharp
Mitakon Speedmaster at approx. F4.
When I took up photography in 2015, I had imagined I would focus on the beauty of life or, at least, on finding ways to express visually life's rich tapestry. But the political landscape keeps changing and I find myself engaged in expressing my views when I think things get dangerous. I do not regret being politically articulate. We, as photographers, should contribute visually to the public debate about our future. Getting sharp is part of our job description. Art is, and always has been, political.
