ref dorking 'deceptive bends' album, title from a road sign seen on mickleham bends going south - a represention which can be seen in rykas cafe. The graphic on the record cover humerously plays with the words by depicting a deep sea diver! 10cc had a recording studio in Dorking for a while.
A few years back an articulated truck rolled over on this adverse camber just brushing against the office buildings which still stand. The truck was across the pavement and luckily it was early in the day and thus avoided reigate foot-passengers !
