Next, put the titanium threaded rod up through the gums and into the bone. Yikes. Let that heal for like eight months. Finally, make an impression for the porcelain tooth and screw it in. Then torque it with a tiny torque wrench. Really.
Pain was minimal on the whole procedure. The surgeon used novacaine.
