Closeup sans tooth

The Story

When I was young, maybe 10, I was playing this running game on the playground during recess and ran into the telephone company building (AT&T, only game in town then) that bordered the playground. I must have been looking behind. I don't know really but that tooth hit the building and it chipped (the tooth, not the building). Ouch.

I lived with the chip and the slowly dying tooth for many years (like 40). It yellowed, it chipped more, and finally it got some kind of infection and I had to have a root canal. They drill in above your teeth and through the front of your gums. Whoa.

It was OK for a while but then it got infected again. It drained so it didn't hurt but the infection was eating the bone. My dentist recommended an implant.
