Meet the presidents of ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne in San Francisco
My son and I went to an ETH and EPFL alumni event at Swissnex in San Francisco, California. It started with a joint presentation by Prof. Martin Vetterli, President of EPFL, and Prof. Joël Mesot, President of ETH Zurich, pictured in this image on the right. I was positively surprised that the two schools now work together hand in hand, which was not always the case when I was at ETH Zurich. After the presentation there was a panel discussion that included two more guests, Mariko Burgin (ETH Zurich alumna, Mars Sample Return (MSR) Program Break The Chain (BTC) Domain Lead, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory), and Igor Perisic (EPFL alumnus, VP Engineering and General Manager, Google).
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a JPG exposure, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
