As it was a few hundred years ago

In June I drove with a rental car from Milano Malpensa Airport to my hometown in the Swiss Alps. I decided to take the longer, scenic route over the Bernina Pass and Flüela Pass. While still in Italy in the Province of Sondrio I noticed a unique old town at the foot of a mountain. I left the express way and found an elevated spot to take a shot of Forcola from afar. After that I went to place a visit of the 14th century town.

I processed a paintery and a balanced HDR photo from two RAW exposures, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
