Waiting for the train that never came

We spent 3 days and nights at a rocket camp in the middle of the Nevada desert. We prepared also for this photoshoot. Back home at a thrift store I bought an old arm chair. We took it along into the desert, among a suitcase, suite, dress and lining. We drove a bit away from the rocket camp to be in the middle of nowhere for the photoshoot.

My son and his girlfriend were the models. A friend threw the red lining up into the air and stepped back. It all worked out perfectly, as planned.

I processed a balanced HDR photo from an overexposed RAW image, selectively adjusted the curves to get a bright background and normal exposed subjects, and carefully tweaked color balance to pop the scene.
