This weekend is a big powwow happening at Stanford University. American Indians gather from all over the USA and Canada. Groups of many different tribes are arranged in a big circle. The tribes drum and chant, one group after the other, while dancers in traditional dress dance in the center of the circle. We mingled with a tribe from near Sacramento. This boy is participating in many powwows happening all summer. The father did some final adjustments before the dance. Elders judge the performances - there is a friendly competition going on. I felt a togetherness, maybe due to the drumming and chanting - a real uplifting experience! If you are local you can participate tonight or tomorrow Sunday, more at stanford.io/2GaUa83.

I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback.
