With this last shot of Gerace from the top of Via Duomo we see what this town is most famous for the Santa Maria Assunta di Gerace one of the largest Norman cathedrals in Calabria and we say goodbye for now as we spend an Ionian beach day in Roccella Ionica. Gerace for me has been an amateur photographers dream and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to pursue their hobby but as always you need to capture the golden hours so don’t just make this a day trip if you have the option. For those that are more interested in looking at pictures than taking them Gerace has many qualities to keep you occupied including great history, architecture, food, wine, friendly people and a place that will leave a lasting impression.
I took this on Sept 16th 2023 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 G2 Lens at 48mm, 1/250s, f11 ISO 900 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,Topaz, and DXO
