Gerace 12

One tip that I can offer for taking photos and this goes for any type of photograph you are taking, is to capture the scene you had in your mind but then immediately start walking around your subject looking for other views of it maybe capturing something better in the process. This shot is of the bell tower of Chiesa di San Martino off of Via Marco Polo reinforces this photo tip I mention, as much as I liked the previous shot on the main street this side street lighting really spoke to me best. Around the church is a cobblestone square that I have heard called “al pracùsu” this side hill Borghetto area would be the among the first of the “suburbs” of Gerace and needed for residents most likely due to the density of churches taking up real-estate on the semi-flat plateau area of the old town.

I took this on Sept 16th 2023 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 G2 Lens at 24mm, 1/20s, f3.2 ISO 6400 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,Topaz, and DXO

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism and still a work in progress
