Silver Falls Wawa

Lately I have learned a few lessons one is that if you are chasing waterfalls a good set of hip or leg waders would be advantageous as compositional tools. The second lesson I learned is that some people love punctuation, it seems that my run on para-sentences annoy some of the frustrated English teaches out there. I guess the last thing I have learned lately is that Canada is full of beautiful spots, some of them are far flung and other places are in our backyards it only takes a bit of effort to uncover.

Wawa is a place that everyone has heard of, usually as a stop on their way through Northern Ontario but most do not know that the place they see along the highway called Wawa is not the town but a façade for the weary traveler. In Wawa there are several waterfalls spread around to see if you are in the area longer than it takes to fill your vehicle and belly. Pictured in this scene is Middle or Silver Falls about two miles south of Wawa proper just to the right of a bridge crossing the Michipicoten River Village Road.

I took this on Sept 24, 2021 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 G2 Lens at 70mm, 10s, f8 ISO 64 processed in LR, PS +Topaz ,and DXO

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress
