Cottage Oct RAW-5

Harmony is something I try to pursue daily trying to make my life a little less messy a little more in tune with the world I want around me, even given the state of things today we can all make our little corner of the world a little less chaotic and more balanced which leads to my actual topic, symmetry.

I guess the lake doesn’t seem to be done giving yet, this shot though not my favorite due to the drab sky shows one of the tools photographers use to get you to spend time looking at their work, symmetry.

By definition symmetry is an object split apart by an axis where both parts are identical, in photography it is a compositional tool that forces the eye to see both halves of the symmetrical subject with the same importance when this happens the composition is in symmetrical balance.

I took this on Oct 25, 2020 with my D850 and Tamron 15-30mm G2 Lens at 20mm 1/15 sec f/16 ISO64 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , and DXO

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress
