From the Vaults-62
Perhaps one of best streetscapes I shot of this trip but certainly one of the top ten, not a pitch for the Hotel De Emauspoort but Vrouwenregt the street it reside on is one of the prettiest in Delft especially if the light is right.
Ever my favorite thing to do upon arriving at a city is find a car park close to where I want to end up and then walk away from it the opposite direction exploring the outer reaches circling the town usually until time or exhaustion forces me toward the old town and the finale of the walkabout.
Even though this is no advert for De Emauspoort I had heard and read amazing things about it and wished that I was spending the night here during the trip as they have two special Gypsy caravans that are a special treat for travelers as well as a Vermeer themed room topped off with historic common areas, 24/7 service of attentive staff at this boutique destination.
A little tidbit about Delft is that the first Dutch bible was printed here in 1477 only the old testament, it took two volumes and 1300 pages, rather unwieldly for the user I would imagine.
I took this on Sept 17th, 2017 with my D750 and Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens at 38mm 1/13s, f/16 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , Luminar and DXO
Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress
