From the Vaults-61

The wonderful light and exceptional architecture of the Netherlands combine to make for some of the best urban landscape shooting in Europe, Delft truly is a city of beauty at every gate and corner.

Captured here on the corner of Van Bleyswijckstraat is an example of Delft street art the sign proclaims this place trades in potatoes big and small and the window below shows a copy of Van Gogh’s work “ The Potato Eaters disproving the notion that there is no Dutch humor.

Delft has been fortunate throughout the years achieving cityhood in the 13th century and helped also by being one of the six ports of the Dutch East India Trading Company it was a busy trading hub and add to that the famous Delftware factories full of local craftsmen whose wares became new trade goods or currency to fatten the city coffers as well enrich the landscape with its success.

I took this on Sept 17th, 2017 with my D750 and Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens at 48mm 1/6s, f/16 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , Luminar and DXO

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress
