From the Vaults-60

I can see why Vermeer never moved away from Delft it is an enchanting city full of light, a feast for the eyes and really is full of so many unrealized paintings just waiting for life to be breathed into them, this scene captures residential canal life and the cozy communal patios afforded by the generous walkways.

Life in the Netherlands is fairly idyllic if you like to capture images the weather and winds help to create interesting skies more times than naught and the light is also generally exceptional shooting +/- 1 hr. around the golden hours.

At just under 100,000 residents the city today has a youthful inquisitive vibe with nearly 15,000 students enrolled at Delft University of Technology and with that much brain power available for harnessing it is no wonder the city is home to many scientifically-minded companies.

I took this on Sept 17th, 2017 with my D750 and Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens at 38mm 1/10s, f/16 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , Luminar and DXO

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress
