Arizona Christmas Escape-14

Can you imagine 1000 years ago walking into this sacred place to commune with your ancestors and spirits and you step around the corner to see what looks like a figure of living rock patiently waiting for you ask it questions if you were brave enough to ask.

This shot was two steps forward from the shot yesterday highlighting the fact that composition is something that should be fluid and experimented with, two steps in any direction can make all the difference in the world.

Upper Antelope Canyon is a spot not to be missed and I am thankful I got a chance to photograph it properly before the last of the photo tours concluded.

Another lesson learned is always double check your equipment, after this shot my lens switch got knocked to manual focus by a tourist as we squeezed by to set up for next shots and what should have been 100 usable shots was greatly diminished.

Normally I am more observant but I had bagged and taped up my camera completely in plastic to keep fine dust out and was under constant pressure to set up and get out of tour groups way so my bad but at least I got a few keepers.

I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 15-30mm 2.8 G2 Lens at 26mm 1s, f/11 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress.
