Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla)
H. macrophylla needs acidic soil with a ph of less than 5.5 to become, and stay, blue. Aluminium should also be present in the soil.
Likewise, pink or red examples will occur where the acidity is less ie with a ph of more than 5.5.
It's rather like the litmus test, only in reverse!
