Donadea Forest 10KM 2012

The Donadea Forest 10KM race and fun run was held in Donadea Forest, Donadea, Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Saturday 13th October 2012 at 11:00. This is the 5th running of this event and the race has grown from year to year. St Kevins GAA club in Staplestown provides the venue for the start and the finish of the 10KM race is deep with the forest beside the lake and coffee shop. This year Enable Ireland Naas Division is the local charity of choice of the race. The race has been a very successful fund-raising event over its history with over €50,000 funds raised to date. As a race it has grown to be a very popular event and comes in good timing for a last fast run-our for athletes aiming for personal bests and faster times in the Dublin City Marathon. The beautiful crisp and sunny late Autumn weather provided a wonderful setting for the race which begins with a few kilometers on the roads around The Range and then enters the Forest for a full loop until the finish. There was over 600 competitors in today's race. As usual the organisation of the event was of the highest order.

The photographs are from the START and the 5KM mark approximately.
