Geometric Parkour..

Stockholm, Haninge, March 2012.

(Street photography)

I joined flickr for a little more than a year ago. Thats also when I bought a second hand digital camera and thought that I should take up a new hobby. I´ve always been facinated by photographs, especially the works of famous repotage photographers, war photographers and the national geographic crew. I didn´t know that it more or less would become an obsession at the time.

During this year I have just been trying to find my place. Testing out what I like to do, what inspires, and just trying to build a little stock of shots that I like. I´m slowly starting to figure out where I want to go with my photography, it will probably change in time, but for now, I think I got it.

Since I began shooting this year I went from Color HDR to hard processed bw to where I find myself just right now, striving for as natural bw as possible. I don´t shoot thousands of shots, I wait, I click, and thats it. During the winter I have only been able to shoot during weekends. So, I have gone out, gathered five shots and then posted them thruout the week. I envy the ones with hundreds or even thousands of shots on their harddrives. :)

I want to take the oppurtunity to thank all of you guys that passes by with a kind comment. Many of you probably never hear a kind word back, and for that I am truly sorry. Life takes its toll as well, just know that Im deeply gratefull for every single word...

And the Oscar goes to:

The LE collective...you all rock, you guys are black and white photographys finest. I just can´t mention names as I bound to forget someone. You all know who you are..

Street photography: J.T, the guy whos work I always always end up browsing thru. His work does the same thing for me as when Im riding my motorcycle. It just blows all the shit out of my head...

Humanitarian: Mio Cade (Thomas), he isnt only one of the best photographers I know of. He is also a fighter for the less fortunate children in this world. In my opinion, he is a hero and a role model for documentary photographers.

Thank you all for a year of learning....

Oh and btw, the kid has his hands tucked inside his sleeves to prevent scratches I guess :)
