Youth and woman at a tomb

The Achilles and Phiale Painters were the leading artists in a workshop that included a number of personalities, some of whom are more sharply defined than others. While the painter of this vase remains indeterminate, his affiliation with the workshop is indicated by the ornaments that appear on the shoulder of the vase and at the top of the body.
