Jupiter and the Moon

At first glance, this might be a fairly routine night scene in Covent Garden, London – but no, the point of this photograph is the sight of Jupiter and the first quarter Moon, there brightly in the night sky.

 

It’s part of the remarkable alignment of planets that’s going on at the moment. And that, pretty much, sums up my total knowledge of astronomy!
