NO EXCUSES!
All praise to Edwins Garden Centre on the National Trust estate at Clandon Park near Guildford in Surrey, for not beating about the bush with their signage.
For many years, one of my closest friends was wheelchair-bound due to the pernicious disease that is multiple sclerosis. When we went out together, the number of times we came across vehicles parked in a disabled space without any regard for wheelchair users was countless.
That was more than 20 years ago. Things are better now, thanks to much improved public awareness, but even so, thoughtless and downright inconsiderate people are still out there, parking where they like.
So when I came across this blunt notice in the car park at Edwins recently, I raised a hearty cheer.
