Sandwich Tern (Thalasseus sandvicensis) ~ Pinellas County, Florida

 

A new tattoo gone awry? This sandwich tern managed to get ink on its belly and head as it soars through the air with its tentacled catch. This was a bit of a crop, but I thought it was interesting enough to share!
