Mona Lisa - La Joconde

The Mona Lisa or La Joconde painted by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci and acclaimed as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world"(wikipedia).

 

Taking a snapshot within the crowd was quite challenging specially with the dim light conditions. I honestly do not see anything special in this portrait, though had to take the shot for my wife who was unable to take one herself.
