Haukland Beach

There is nothing quite like standing on a beach in the Artic circle surrounded with incredible mountains, golden sunshine, blue skies, turquoise water, gale force winds, frozen ice, sand and snow. We were greeted with ever changing conditions on our morning at Haukland beach.

I absolutely loved the colours here and my intention was to capture the snow as it was thrown across the beach the tricky thing here was just trying to keep the camera and tripod on the ground with the powerful winds.

Despite this being one of the most famous beaches in Lofoten we were lucky enough to have this amazing place all to ourselves.
