British 2011 #46 Brown Hairstreak - Thecla betulae

James Petiver (c.1665–1718) London apothecary and Fellow of the Royal Society who was also famous for his study of botany and entomology named this butterfly the "Golden brown double Streak" in 1703 and thought the Male and Female to be separate species.
