Swallowtail_4549 flickr

Apologies for no notes when posting but we had to catch a ferry. This beautiful swallowtail was snapped in Albuterfata reserve on the northern coast of Majorca. It's right by the sea so the wind was really strong and it is not in the insect's interest to sit still too long - lots of yellow wagtails. So it was snap happy time and hope for the best. Papilio machaon on scabious.
