Audouin's Gull

This species of gull seems to be the most common on the island of Mallorca. They seem to be ever-present on the beaches, no doubt having learned that there will always be some food scraps left behind in places where people frequent. I composed this shot to set the gull against the turquoise sea near to the shore.
