Bath Green Park Top Shed

1964 82004, 45105, 47308, 3742 with 53808 out of service on the gas siding behind the old carriage

Brought to the front as I have always been pleased with this shot of the Midland Shed. Taken in the evening, I wish I had taken more like it. I was lucky to just be able to wander round here,

The Black 5 is waiting to take out the 10.15 parcels to the north. This was rostered for a Peak but was regularly replaced by steam, usually a 5 or Jubilee, but a B1 or rebuilt Pat turned up occasionally.

There would be a 3MT rostered as spare engine to cover the Bristol turns that were part of the Peaks diagram.

The Jinty would have been here from Radstock for a boiler washout.

Mutual Improvement classes were held on the old coach on the right, and among the things inside was a working model of valve gear
