In the annals of travel, I'd say that this has got to be the most inconvenient time ever. Ten years ago, travel was still, just about, a matter of contacting somebody who would then do the work for you. These days, you're expected to sit in front of your computer and work out which one of the myriad of ways is the best for you. Plane? Train? Car? Ferry? Bus?
What's even better is the severe butt-raping that is now happening. It's summer, and therefore all the tickets have suddenly doubled in cost. Thanks a bunch East Coast, at least my tax money will be spent on keeping a good infrastructu... oh. Wait. What's that? You can't even run a website?
