Running with the Pack
As many of you know, we're lucky enough to get to travel the world, but sometimes the most fun can be found in your own back yard. So we took a trip out to the Wolf Creek Habitat today, ostensibly to shoot wolves in the snow. But I loved this shot with one howling, the other licking, so I've posted it instead. Wolf Creek is about 45 minutes outside of Cincinnati, near Brookville, Indiana. I still cannot get over how cool it is to hang out with a pack of wolves, and today I had one lick my face, and slightly more problematically, lick the front of my lens :-). They are beautiful creatures, not frightening at all, just impressive. You can find out more about Wold Creek, and find a bunch of great photos by Kathy, who runs the center, here www.wolfcreekhabitat.org .
