Happy New Year!
I wish everyone a wonderful celebration, and a peaceful, happy, healthy 2015.
I was torn between a picture of Vegas, our new future, or Africa, which was the visual highlight of 2014. I chose visual, and this is a sunset captured in the land of the Bushmen (the click talkers) before we headed out to look for desert elephants. A beautiful scene, and an apt visual metaphor for the passing of one year and the birth of a new one. Especially as the next day was extremely successful, but not without it's challenges. We drove for hours down river beds, suffered a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, but were rewarded with success and an amazing experience.
2014 has been an amazing year. Visiting Botswana was a dream come true. I managed to retire early, at 53 years old, and we have made our plans for Vegas. So we view 2015 with great, positive anticipation. I cannot thank enough all of the people who have supported and helped me through the process of going it alone and starting a business. You know who you are, and I thank you, but never as much as you deserve. Most of all Marcia, who has been my rock as I've navigated the ups and downs of a career and lifestyle change.
