Pete Arnold1
LBLR in the 1960s (44 of 53)
The view as seen by a loco driver coming down from Pages Park loops past the original LBLR loco sheds. In the immediate foreground is the set of points where a Garsides' train would go to the right.
Beyond them loaded wagons are standing in Arnolds' loops and on the left hand track a Garsides' main line loco is just visible.
The corrugated iron building on the right, beyond Garsides' track, is the former Arnolds' loco shed.
Behind it, the larger building is the LBLR loco shed built in 1949/50 which Arnolds' took over after 1958.
In the distance the tracks curved right to cross Billington Road and up to the tipping gantry.
