LBLR in the 1960s (13 of 53)

Garsides' No.10 (MR 10272) with a train of empty wagons approaching Shenley Hill Road level crossing. The driver's mate is keeping a watchful eye for any road traffic which, even in those days, caused a few heart stopping moments at this location! The crossroads at this point marks the change of name from Miletree Road to Vandyke Road and in the background the since demolished Stonehenge Cottage which was on Vandyke Road is visible. 20/9/1961
