Ogmore castle

Ogmore castle on a still, early spring morning. The adjacent Ewenny river is at full high tide, which has covered the stepping stones that cross the river at this point.

 

The castle was built in the early 1100's on the site of an earlier earth and wood castle, the earthwork fortifications of which are still in place.
