SV6107 1929 Leyland TD1 L53R Jersey Motor Transport

From the programme notes:

1929 Leyland TD1 L53R Jersey Motor Transport.

The body was originally fitted to Leyland's first Trolley bus. After demonstrating for several operators the body was transferred to a 1929 Leyland TD1 chassis and sold to Jersey Motor Transport.

Sold for preservation in 1958 when it was the last petrol engined double decker in use in the British Isles.

A crash gearbox, centre accelerator and push on handbrake make it an 'interesting' vehicle to drive. Photographer's note: "I bet!"
